The way in which a situation is perceived initially can have a huge impact on the actions taken concerning how to resolve it. If a situation is perceived to be a “problem” it will often have negative thoughts attached to it. Therefore, the actions required to resolve such a problem will likely be unpleasant for the person who perceived the situation as being a problem. Conversely if that same situation is seen as an opportunity, then the thoughts associated with it are less likely to be negative. The resulting reactions will also become less daunting.
